Virginie à la coupe

Arhippa is a story with two voices and a four-handed creation.

Originally, there is Virginie who, nestled in her little workshop in Enchastrayes in the Ubaye valley in the heart of the Southern Alps, draws and sews her creations as the seasons, colors, and moods go by.

Then, there is Canelle who, after finishing her studies, joined the company bringing all her knowledge, her energy, and her freshness.

Together they create, imagine, and design all of Arhippa's creations. In the beginning, there is a fabric, sometimes a season, or even a pattern, they are the ones that inspire them, trigger their crush to create the sketch of a hat or the inspiration for a new neckwarmer.

They always have the philosophy of using what their country makes. So most of their fabrics, ribbons, and buttons are made in France.

Even if ecology is often considered an abstract notion, it's essential for them to use their raw materials as much as possible.

Hence, they don't reject anything, zero waste is central for them. They give the tiniest scraps of their fabrics, furs, and ribbons to their hometown's school. From them, children make paintings, plaids, and garlands.

In winter, the fur of their creations is made from recycled plastic bottles. This combination of warmth and incredible softness is part of this new trend in an ecological and sustainable fashion.
